Rules of tour reviews.

Tour Review

• Look at the Tour through our clients’ buyers’ eyes.
• Be authentic / be honest / write your truth.
• Don’t write what is expected of you – make it ‘fresh’ / include unexpected angles.
• Don’t attack or insult the Tour Operator.
• Use no swear words.
• Don’t rant.
• Use but don’t rely on PR & Marketing material supplied by the Tour Operator.

2. How long did you spend on the Tour with the Operator. And is this the first tour of theirs that you have been on(give the context of how familiar you are with the Tour Operator’s products / offerings).

3. The details of the tour: cost / where / when / how long / how many riders / on what equipment.

4. How did the Tour Operator describe the Tour: in the pre-tour marketing material &then after you arrived and received your briefing in person (were there inconsistencies).

5. Your first impressions.

6. Who would you recommend the Tour to:

Your mates.
Your worst enemy.
Your Grandmother.
7. Was the Tour:

Comfortable? (did you come away hurting / physically exhausted – not necessarily a bad thing)
Safe? (were there any injuries / hospitalisations / evacuations)
Enriching? (did it give you a different perspective on life)

Did the Tour Operator staff demonstrate a sound knowledge of the terrain / location / weather, etc
What was their planning like
Were they professional
Were they friendly
Were they inclusive of everyone in their care
Did they make efforts to ensure the Tour was a positive experience for everyone, including those with lesser skill levels (or was it an ‘every man for himself’ experience.

What were the (eg. Riding) conditions like – were they as described
Catering / food – was it quality and was there plenty of it
Cultural experiences
Did it deliver what it claimed
Did it deliver more than this – how so
Did it deliver less – how so
Was it value for money
